Traditionally knitted with 100% wool yarn sourced from the sheep of Alentejo, a region in the south-central part of Portugal known for its tradition in the production and hand-spinning of wool, used in clothing since the 16th century. Alentejo is characterized by vast plains, sometimes interrupted by modest mountains, where flocks can be seen peacefully roaming this place beyond the Tagus River.
